The outerlayers are embossed and coatedon both sides with Viton (aflouroelastomer rubber basedmaterial that is heatresistant to 250C/482F). Viton is designedto meet the demands of avariety of harsh sealingenvironments, load conditions,and surface finishes. Thecenter or shim layer isuncoated stainless steel,which can be varied toaccommodate multiple thicknessrequirements.
