Starting with the timeproven 1-piece Superglide,Reid Racing engineers decidedagainst the "cut it inhalf" approach andspecifically designed thecase to be used as a 2-pieceunit. The full 360 degreereinforced mounting flangeprovides the needed rigidityand stiffness, while extrathickness in critical areasadds strength to the rear ofthe case and eliminates theneed for an internal liner.Unlike other sand castcompetitors, the permanentmold casting process is usedfor extremely accurate,tough, porosity-free casesthat only weigh 18 pounds.Adapter bellhousings andflexplates are available formost popular enginecombinations.
