The air cleaner is one ofthe most visible parts on acar's engine, so now is thetime to add a premium FordRACING, MUSTANG, or COBRAemblem to your ride for theperfect customized look! These13 diameter air cleaners fit2V and 4V carburetors, and aresupplied with a 5-5/8 highMotorcraft filter element(part no. FA-612R). Both thetops and bases have matchingfinishes, and each kit issupplied with necessarymounting hardware. Air cleanerkits are supplied with specialdie-cast Ford Oval center nuts(also offeredseparately).
Technical note: Afterinstalling a new air cleanerkit, always lower the hoodslowly to confirm sufficientclearance visually. Minimumclearance of 4" isrequired from the top of thecarburetor gasket area to theunderside of the hood.
