Meziere Coolant Recovery Tank Polished 1/8"Npt Ports 10"H X 2"W X 3"D WR100U
(Prior to Dispatch)
Meziere recovery tanks aredesigned to catch overflowliquid and purge air out ofyour system during heatcycles. This enables thesystem to stay completelyfull of water and greatlyreduces the amount ofmaintenance reqired for yourcooling system.
Recovery System Info:
Keeping the systemfull reduces aeration andmaintains pressure. As thetemperature increases thewater expands and pressurebuilds. If the system iscompletely full the expansionpressure will exceed the cappressure and over flow intothe recovery tank. If yourpressure cap is properlylocated, on the low pressureside of the system, air ispushed out first. When thesystem cools a vacuum iscreated. When your radiatorcap is equipped with a valvethat opens under negativepressure it will draw coolantback into the system. Thetube that extends to thebottom of the recovery tanktransfersthe coolant back tothe radiator. Mount the tankas close as possible to thepressure cap. The line shouldbe short and level, reducingrestriction and the effect ofgravity. If the recovery tankis kept 1/3 full (with theengine cold) every heat cyclewill automatically purge moreair out of the system. Theopposite is true without arecovery system or with animproper pressure caplocation. With every heatcycle water will be pushedout, leaving more air space. This air space can becompressed lowering theboiling point.
