The MEM10295 providesusers of stock crankshaftshort blocks a qualityreplacement for the originalstock LS1 oil pump. The inletand outlet passages have beenoptimised to improve oil flowentering and exiting the pumpwhich improves overall pumpperformance. The design ofthe pressure relief has beenupdated to improve low RPMperformance. The pressureby-pass setting has beenincreased 10 psi, with theinstalled spring. Anadditional pressure reliefspring is supplied which willreduce the by-pass back tothe stock setting. The pumpcover is CNC machined fromcast iron and coated toimprove performance anddurability. The oil pumphousing is CNC machined fromcast aluminium and hard-coatanodised to increase hardnessand improve durability.
