Our solenoid shiftersautomatically shift thetransmission at your presetrpm or preset time, improvingthe E.T. consistency of anyautomatic transmission racecar. You're able to keep bothhands on the steering wheeland concentrate on winninginstead of shifting.

Features

• Mounts behind yourexisting shift lever. Whenthe transmission shifter ispulled into low gear, theelectric solenoid is powered,and "cocks"automatically. You stage andlaunch the car normally.
• 1-1/2 amp "holdingcoil" keeps the unitcocked until your enginereaches the selected rpm - atwhich point electrical poweris cut to the solenoid, andour spring mechanismautomatically shifts thetransmission from 1st to 2ndgear.
• Only two movingparts so shifting isextremely consistent andreliable. Since spring actiondoes the shifting, this unitis not affected by voltagehanges, vibration, moisture,condensation, or temperature.
• No maintenance isrequired; just install it andforget it!
• Becausenothing connects to yourshift lever, you can stillmake "manual"shifts at will. A manualoverride provision allows youto shift yourself, and alsoto test the Solenoid Shifterin the pits or staging lanesbefore making a pass - evenwithout the engine running.
• The shift unitmounts on a lightweightbracket directly behindforward pattern, gate styleshifters.
• Fordragster type applicationsthat locate the shift leverbetween the driver's legs,the shifter and SolenoidShifter can be turned aroundbackwards. (For use inreverse shift patternapplications, the customermust fabricate a simple,swing away bracket.)
• Like all Dedenbear products,our Solenoid Shifters areengineered both for winningperformance and longestpossible life. The units arepermanently lubricated. Ourhard chromed, ground shaftrides in a bronze bushinginside the solenoid. TheALUMINIUM mounting bracketsare black and red anodizedfor corrosion resistance. Theunits can be purchased withor without an RPM2 switchmodule or ST1 shift timer.
