Competition Engineering Shock 3 Way Adjust Ford Front Ford Xr-Xf Mustang (2640) C2640
(Prior to Dispatch)
Competition Engineering's3-Way Adjustable Drag Shocksare designed to allow theracer to dial-in the race carto meet changing trackconditions. Shock valvingplays a very important role inthe way your car will performboth during initial launch andthroughout the quartermile.
The principlebehind our shock absorberdesign is to allow the frontend of the race car to riserapidly upon initial launch, creating greater weighttransfer and better tractionto the rear tires. As the cartravels down the track, thefront end will graduallydescend to its ride heightwithout unloading the reartires which is a major causeof wheel spin. Our rear shockswork in conjunction with ourfront shocks making thetransition from initial launchto top end charge as smooth aspossible.
CompetitionEngineering's Rear Drag Shockscan be adjusted for changingtrack conditions by simplecompressing and turning theshock. For slick tracks, setto the 50/50 adjustment; ongood tracks, set to the 70/30for better weighttransfer.
CompetitionEngineering's Front DragShocks are adjustable in threeratios: 90/10, 80/20 and60/40. These ratios reflectthe percentage of forcerequired to extend andcompress the shock absorber. You can quickly change thevalve setting by simplycompressing the shock fullyand rotating the shaft untilthe indexing notch mates withthe desired setting on thebody. Its as simple astwist and click.
OurRear Drag Shocks are alsoadjustable in three ratios:70/30, 60/40 and 50/50. Theseratios also represent thepercentage of force requiredto compress and extend theshock unit. Only this time, the first number iscompression and the secondextension. These shocks alsoadjust by compressing themfully and rotating to thedesired setting on thebody.
