Aeroflow PET Flex Braid Heat Sleeve 7.6M, Up to 1-1/2" I.D.
Aeroflows heat-flex braid is lightweight and extremely flexible. Made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) this heat-flex braid can be used for insulating wire bundles or cables while offering that factory look. Heat-flex braid can also be used on heater andradiator hoses. With a tough woven construction, heat-flex provides a continuous temperature rating of up to 127C (260F) and a melting temperature of 250C (482F).
It is recommended for a tight fit choose a braid wrap diameter that is a smaller size than required for your application. For a more flexible/loose fit select a braid wrap diameter that is the same size or slightly larger than your application, this will ensure that the cables are able to smoothly and easily move.
If the braided wrap is not cut correctly it can fray. To prevent fraying use a hot cutting tool such as a hot knife or a soldering iron witha sharp tip. Slice the braid using even pressure to leave an evenly sealed edge on the braid. While the end is cooling you can flare it usinga small cone-shaped object to hold it open. Once the braid wrap is cut to size simply push and slide the sleeve intoplace over the cable and finish it off with either heatshrink or Aeroflow hose end finishers for that professional look.
Available in a black finishin sizes from 3mm (1/8)up to 38.1mm (1-1/2) size I.D. with two length options to choose from 1m (3ft) and 7.6m (25ft).
